The Second Kiso Survey for ultraviolet-excess galaxies. V.
The catalogue list and the identification chart of ultraviolet(UV)-excess galaxies, which have been detected on two or three-colorKiso Schmidt plates, are presented for 10 Schmidt fields. Catalogued are127 objects, down to the photographic magnitude ~17.5 in the sky area ofsome 300 square degrees. The number of KUGs detected in this paper ismuch smaller than that of the high galactic area, and the total numberof KUGs newly detected in the second survey reaches up to 1,954.

The ISOPHOT 170 μm Serendipity Survey II. The catalog of optically identified galaxies%
The ISOPHOT Serendipity Sky Survey strip-scanning measurements covering≈15% of the far-infrared (FIR) sky at 170 μm were searched forcompact sources associated with optically identified galaxies. CompactSerendipity Survey sources with a high signal-to-noise ratio in at leasttwo ISOPHOT C200 detector pixels were selected that have a positionalassociation with a galaxy identification in the NED and/or Simbaddatabases and a galaxy counterpart visible on the Digitized Sky Surveyplates. A catalog with 170 μm fluxes for more than 1900 galaxies hasbeen established, 200 of which were measured several times. The faintest170 μm fluxes reach values just below 0.5 Jy, while the brightest,already somewhat extended galaxies have fluxes up to ≈600 Jy. For thevast majority of listed galaxies, the 170 μm fluxes were measured forthe first time. While most of the galaxies are spirals, about 70 of thesources are classified as ellipticals or lenticulars. Galaxy coordinates. II. Accurate equatorial coordinates for 17298 galaxies
Using images of the Digitized Sky Survey we measured coodinates for17298 galaxies having poorly defined coordinates. As a control, wemeasured with the same method 1522 galaxies having accurate coordinates.The comparison with our own measurements shows that the accuracy of themethod is about 6 arcsec on each axis (RA and DEC).

Near-infrared observations of galaxies in Pisces-Perseus. I. vec H-band surface photometry of 174 spiral
We present near-infrared, H-band (1.65 $() μm), surface photometry of174 spiral galaxies in the area of the Pisces-Perseus supercluster. Theimages, acquired with the ARNICA camera mounted on various telescopes,are used to derive radial profiles of surface brightness, ellipticities,and position angles, together with global parameters such as H-bandmagnitudes and diameters Radial profiles in tabular form and images FITSfiles are also available upon request from gmorio@arcetri.astro.it.}.The mean relation between H-band isophotal diameter D_{21.5} and theB-band D25 implies a B-H color of the outer disk bluer than3.5; moreover, D_{21.5}/D25 depends on (global) color andabsolute luminosity. The correlations among the various photometricparameters suggest a ratio between isophotal radius D_{21.5}/2 and diskscale length of ~ m3.5 and a mean disk central brightness ~ meq 17.5H-mag arcsec^{-2}. We confirm the trend of the concentration indexC31$ with absolute luminosity and, to a lesser degree, withmorphological type. We also assess the influence of non-axisymmetricstructures on the radial profiles and on the derived parameters. Basedon observations at the TIRGO, NOT, and VATT telescopes. The Updated Zwicky Catalog (UZC)
The Zwicky Catalog of galaxies (ZC), with m_Zw<=15.5, has been thebasis for the Center for Astrophysics (CfA) redshift surveys. To date,analyses of the ZC and redshift surveys based on it have relied onheterogeneous sets of galaxy coordinates and redshifts. Here we correctsome of the inadequacies of previous catalogs by providing (1)coordinates with <~2" errors for all of the 19,369 catalog galaxies,(2) homogeneously estimated redshifts for the majority (98%) of the datataken at the CfA (14,632 spectra), and (3) an estimate of the remaining``blunder'' rate for both the CfA redshifts and for those compiled fromthe literature. For the reanalyzed CfA data we include a calibrated,uniformly determined error and an indication of the presence of emissionlines in each spectrum. We provide redshifts for 7257 galaxies in theCfA2 redshift survey not previously published; for another 5625 CfAredshifts we list the remeasured or uniformly rereduced value. Among ournew measurements, 1807 are members of UZC ``multiplets'' associated withthe original Zwicky catalog position in the coordinate range where thecatalog is 98% complete. These multiplets provide new candidates forexamination of tidal interactions among galaxies. All of the newredshifts correspond to UZC galaxies with properties recorded in the CfAredshift compilation known as ZCAT. About 1000 of our new measurementswere motivated either by inadequate signal-to-noise in the originalspectrum or by an ambiguous identification of the galaxy associated witha ZCAT redshift. The redshift catalog we include here is ~96% completeto m_Zw<=15.5 and ~98% complete (12,925 galaxies out of a total of13,150) for the right ascension ranges 20^h>=alpha_1950<=4^h and8^h>=alpha_1950<=17^h and declination range-2.5d<=delta_1950<=50^deg. This more complete region includes allof the CfA2 survey as analyzed to date. The Great Wall structurepersists throughout the northern survey region.
